By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these terms together with the policies referenced during checkout. Nothing in these terms affects rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory consumer rights.

You must be legally capable of entering into a contract to place an order. You may use the website only for lawful purposes and must provide accurate information when ordering or creating an account.

Before checkout, we aim to display the main characteristics of each product, the total price including applicable taxes, available payment methods, delivery options and charges, estimated delivery information, and applicable cancellation rights.

General conditions

We may refuse access to the website or decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where we suspect fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, a pricing or availability error, or a risk to customers or our business. If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid using the original payment method.

Orders and contract formation

Submitting an order is an offer to buy the products in your basket. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt of your order but does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it. A binding contract is formed when we confirm acceptance or dispatch, unless the checkout confirmation expressly states otherwise.

Please review your order carefully before submitting it. Contact us promptly if you need to correct an error. Changes may not be possible after preparation or dispatch has begun.

Products and services

We take reasonable care to describe and display products accurately. Coffee is an agricultural and seasonal product, so packaging, appearance, tasting notes and roast characteristics may vary slightly between batches. Images are illustrative and screen settings may affect colour.

Product pages and packaging will provide relevant food information, including net quantity, ingredients and allergen information where applicable, storage instructions, durability information, and responsible food business details. Please read the product label before use and contact us before ordering if you have an allergy, dietary or safety question.

Food business and fulfilment

Meleno Roasters trades from 23 Montana Gardens, London SM1 4FP, United Kingdom. Roasting, packing, storage or dispatch may be performed by approved specialist partners. Meleno Roasters remains your customer contact for orders placed through this store.

We maintain appropriate supplier and fulfilment records for traceability and product safety. If a withdrawal or recall is required, we may use the contact details supplied with your order to provide important safety information.

Pricing and availability

Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the store and include applicable taxes unless clearly stated otherwise. Delivery charges are shown before you complete checkout. Prices, products and availability may change, but changes will not affect an order we have already accepted except where required by law.

If a product becomes unavailable or a material pricing error is identified, we will contact you and offer an appropriate alternative, revised delivery estimate, cancellation or refund.

Billing and account information

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate billing, delivery and contact information. You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for activity carried out through your account, except where caused by our failure to use reasonable care.

Payments are processed by Shopify Payments or another payment provider shown at checkout. We do not receive your full payment-card number.

Delivery

Available destinations, charges and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and explained in our Shipping Policy. Unless a different period is agreed, we will deliver accepted orders without undue delay and within 30 days. Risk passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or to a person you nominate, other than a carrier chosen by you.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

UK consumers normally have the right to cancel an eligible online purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods, without giving a reason. To cancel, contact hello@melenoroasters.co.uk with your name and order number. After notifying us, return eligible goods within 14 days in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy.

Statutory exceptions may apply, including to goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly and sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed. Any applicable exception will be explained where relevant. These exceptions do not limit your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, unsafe, misdescribed or supplied incorrectly.

Refund timing, return costs, exchanges and non-returnable items are explained in our Return and Refund Policy. Subscription products, if offered, may also be subject to subscription terms displayed before checkout.

Third-party links and services

The website may contain links to third-party websites or use services provided by third parties. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability or practices. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by that provider's own terms and privacy notice.

User comments and submissions

If you submit a review, comment, photograph or other content, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it is accurate and lawful. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display that content for operating, improving and promoting Meleno Roasters. You retain ownership of your content and may contact us about removal.

Prohibited uses

You must not use the website to break the law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, submit false or harmful material, transmit malicious code, scrape or collect information without permission, interfere with security, or disrupt the website or services.

Intellectual property

The Meleno Roasters name, branding, website design, text, photographs and other content are owned by or licensed to us unless stated otherwise. You may view and use the website for personal shopping purposes, but you may not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit its content without written permission.

Website availability and disclaimers

We take reasonable care to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may suspend or change parts of the website for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

Limitation of liability

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss caused by information or instructions you supplied incorrectly, or for business losses where you purchased as a consumer.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or liability arising from consumer rights that cannot be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services, business practices or legal obligations. The version that applies to an order is the version available when the order is placed. The latest version will remain available on this page with its updated date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland retain any mandatory rights to bring proceedings in their local courts. If you live outside the United Kingdom, mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence may also apply.
